Guterman Greenhouse Facility
Bradfield and Emerson Halls, which house the Departments of Crop and Soil Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences, Plant Breeding and Biometry and a portion of Plant Pathology, were completed in 1968. Both buildings provide well-equipped facilities for research, teaching and graduate study. Laboratory research activities are concentrated in an eleven-story air-conditioned research tower, which contains staff and graduate offices, workrooms, and laboratories. Among the specialized facilities are laboratories for micro-chemical analysis, electron microscopy, inorganic and organic analysis, mineralogy, x-ray diffraction, isotopes, electrophoresis, chromatography, fermentation, biochemical analysis, and tissue culture, as well as growth chambers, incubators, freezer rooms, and related service and preparation facilities.
Resources for any type of field or greenhouse research are available at one or more department managed facilities across the state: below are the links to each site.
